Ellery McCardle is the co-anchor of ABC 6 NEWS Good Morning and enjoys bringing people the latest information each morning. She is a two-time award winner on behalf of the Society of Professional Journalists. She grew up in River Falls, WI and is glad to be close to family and friends.
Before coming to ABC 6 NEWS in 2010, Ellery interned at WFTS-TV in Tampa, WINK-TV in Ft. Myers, FL, WEDU-TV in Tampa and Twin Cities Public Television. She graduated from The University of Tampa and while there was a reporter and news editor for the campus newspaper The Minaret and worked in radio. The most memorable stories she covered while in Tampa, FL was the 2009 Super Bowl and presidential nominee John McCain’s visit to her college campus.
Quality journalism is a passion of Ellery’s. She enjoys connecting with people in the community and bringing awareness to local issues.
When not chasing down the big stories, she enjoys running, finding new music and spending time with her friends and family.
