(ABC 6 News) - If you like to mountain bike, miles of great trails to explore aren't too far away. Just head to Mount Kato.

There are over 7.5 miles of mountain biking trails. "Having something so close like this is such a nice amenity to have. To be able to hop in a car and within an hour, depending where you're coming from, have so many trails," says Mount Kato Assistant Manager John Nelson.

The trails take on a different form when the snow falls. Although it may be hard to imagine now, the slopes fill with skiers, snowboarders and even snowtubing. "It's great to be able to not have to hibernate in the wintertime. It gives you something to do. Get out and ski and be active," Nelson says.

There is an $8 trail fee if you want to mountain bike. Lift tickets in the winter are $20 during the week and more on weekends and holidays.
