MOVILLE, Iowa (AP) - Authorities say a grass fire spread onto a farmstead and damaged an abandoned house in northwest Iowa.
Crews and firetrucks from four departments responded to the fire, which officials say began about 2:30 p.m. Tuesday on the edge of cornfield along County Highway D12 about five miles north of Moville.
The fire was fed by dried grass as it spread onto the farmstead and damaged the house.
No injuries have been reported.
Moville Assistant Fire Chief Deron Fredrickson says firefighters had the blaze under control by 5 p.m.
