Two Arrested for Promoting Prostitution

(ABC 6 News)- Police caught two people promoting prostitution in Rochester Wednesday afternoon.

Investigators used Backpage.com to find both the male promoter and the female involved. Both live in Rochester.

Once the 20-year-old woman agreed to exchange sex for money, investigators swooped in and made the arrest.

She has since been booked and released.  The male is still in custody for a parole violation. He also faces charges for 2nd Degree Promotion of Prostitution.

Both people were arrested at an undisclosed Rochester hotel.
