(ABC 6 News) -- Law enforcement officers across Minnesota are out in force right now looking for drunk drivers.

As we approach the Halloween holiday it is a deadly time on the roads and now state troopers, county deputies and local police will be watching extra close for those drinking and driving.

According to statistics, during Halloween party weekends from 2007 to 2011, more than 2,300 motorists were arrested for DWI.

Drunk driving crashes have resulted in 651 deaths during the past five years.

Law enforcement also want you to remember to buckle up. This weekend also wraps up the state's click it or ticket seat belt campaign.
