(ABC 6 NEWS) -- Three people face charges after a disturbing discovery at an Albert Lea home.

Police searched a home on east 11th street early Tuesday.  They were acting on information that there were firearms and drugs in the house.

Officers used flash-bang grenades to distract the occupants of the house before executing a search warrant

"Approximately 43 to 45 firearms were located in this one residence. The problem is the occupants of the residence were felons. They're not (allowed) to obtain or posses firearms," Lt. J.D. Carlson said.

Investigators also found quantities of mushrooms, marijuana and methamphetamine.

Three people face charges that include "felon in possession of firearms", and drug possession. They are Lacy Carlsen and Brock and Erwin Eckstein. All are convicted felons. Formal charges are expected Thursday.

A fourth adult and a ten year old boy were also at the home at the time of the arrests.
