$4k Worth of Copper Stolen from Rochester Construction Site

(ABC 6 NEWS) -- More than a thousand feet of copper wire was stolen from a Rochester construction site on 2nd St SW.

According to Rochester police an electric company reported that copper wire they installed had been ripped out.

The wire was being installed for some street lights along 2nd St.  The thieves took the wire from five blocks of the street.

Police estimate the damage to be more than four thousand dollars.
