Two Men Pled Not Guilty in Rural Lansing Shooting

(ABC 6 News) -- Two men involved in a shooting just outside of Lansing, appeared in Mower County Court Monday. It happened almost two weeks ago now, witnesses told police three people, went to simply "hang out" at the home, when a woman was shot in the face.

27 year-old Joseph Peterson, and 62-year-old Daniel Peterson pled not guilty to all counts in court Monday afternoon. They were charged with a combined 9 felonies, including "attempted murder" for Daniel Peterson.  

According to the criminal complaint, the shooting took place at a home just northeast of Lansing. Witnesses claim both men opened fire on a car with three people inside. The 30-year-old woman in the driver's seat was shot in the face. She has since been released from the hospital.

Both Daniel and Joseph Peterson are scheduled to appear back in Mower County Court for a pre-trial hearing in March.
