(ABC 6 News) -- There is concern in a quiet Austin neighborhood after a late afternoon shooting. Four people have been arrested, including the person injured.

Austin police aren't releasing many details, and no charges have been filed yet.

The shooting has those living in the area on edge.

"We didn't know what happened," said Alvina Barclay. She and her husband Bob have lived in their Austin home on 11th Street for nearly 60 years.

And they say in all of that time, things have been pretty quiet.

"Nothing has been stolen, or anything that would make us want to move," said Barclay.

That is, until Monday night.

"We saw these flashing red lights through the windows, so we went to investigate and here there was a squad car over here by Frank's house and there was a squad car over here at the end. I thought Frank's house was on fire," said Barclay.

It wasn't a fire, it was a shooting just outside Barclay's house. According to the Austin Police Department, one man was taken to the hospital for a non-life threatening wound to the chest.

Four men, including the victim, were taken into custody.

"It is scary. That's why I said lets get in the house and shut the door and lock it," said Barclay.

Until she knows more, Barclay says she will be extra cautious, any time she leaves the house.

"I'm bringing my flashlight along. I don't know if that's going to help," she said.

Police say the shooting remains under investigation and its still unclear when charges will be filed.
