(ABC 6 News) -- We sat down with the Kasson-Mantorville superintendent Friday afternoon. Mark Matuska says he was with a number of other superintendent for a monthly meeting when they all heard the news about the shooting.
"One of the superintendents said we've got some breaking news and I went to my email and our school liaison officer had texted us saying that there had been a shooting out in Connecticut but nobody really knew what the story was and then when you start hearing that it was a gunman and you start hearing about an elementary school. It was interesting being with all the superintendents. It got pretty somber in a hurry and there was a relaxed moment of silence and nobody called it or talked about it," said Mark Matuska the Kasson-Mantorville Superintendent.
