(ABC 6 NEWS) -- It’s been a busy couple of days for Austin police and Mower County sheriff’s deputies – they’re investigating three burglaries, all reported in a two hour span early Monday.
Around 5:15am Monday morning Austin police responded to a burglar alarm at the Hiawatha Bar on 10th street northeast.
Investigators found a 2-by-4 that had been used to secure a door moved from the inside, and they believe someone may have stayed inside the building at closing time, and set off the alarm when he tried to leave.
It doesn’t appear anything was taken.
At 6:45am Monday morning sheriff’s deputies went to 56 Auto Repair in Rose Creek after a passerby noticed a door standing open.
Investigators say someone smashed the glass in a door to get inside, then took $200 cash and a $3200 scanning tool.
Damages are estimated at $500.
At 7:30am Monday morning the owners of the Windrift Lounge on the edge of Austin reported that someone pried open a utility door.
The burglar took two cartons of cigarettes, six bottles of whiskey and six bottles of root beer Schnaaps.
Owners estimate the loss and damage at $1,800.
All three cases are still under investigation
