(ABC 6 NEWS) -- Morgan Hartman is in the middle of her senior year as one of the Century girls' basketball captains. She's been playing the game since third grade and wants nothing more than to soak it all in her last year.
"I have three schools in mind, I haven't picked one yet," says Hartman. "My main focus right now is to worry about this team and our goals and make sure we accomplish that. I'll let college come where it will and we'll go from there."
Her desire to work hard and be her absolute best is not lost on her coaches or teammates. In a way, she's the perfect kind of leader.
"There's always the vocal leadership that she gives us but then anything from organizing a team outing to just showing how to play the game and how to practice," says Century head coach Chris Stenzel. "She's very vocal about how we should practice and that translates on the basketball court."
"I just want to be here and lead these girls because I know we have a lot to accomplish and I know we can do it," says Morgan.
And she will be missed when she's gone.
"We're going to definitely miss her after this year but I'm going to enjoy the time while we still have her," her coach said.
So like she said before, Morgan doesn't want to think too far in the future. Right now, it's about her and her Panther teammates.
"Everyone I talk to says it goes by really fast so I'm just trying to enjoy it and take it all in and enjoy it with the girls. That's what means the most to me."
