(ABC 6 NEWS) -- The Minnesota Department of Public Safety has released new numbers following December's crackdown to find drunk drivers.
Statewide, 2,551 arrests were made. That's 49 more than in 2011 when authorities busted 2,600 drivers.
In Greater Minnesota, Rochester was second behind St. Cloud with the most arrests at 40. Olmsted County is considered one of the state's 13 most dangerous counties for drunk drivers and will continue to see stepped up enforcement periodically throughout the year.
The highest blood alcohol content recorded during the enforcement was 0.47. That is nearly six times the legal limit in Minnesota which is .08.
