A four-year-old Western Wisconsin boy was hospitalized at Children's Hospital in St. Paul Saturday with flu-related complications.
Chris Foehser of Siren tells KSTP.com his son Aiden had the flu for about a week when he became unresponsive.
Aiden was rushed to a Western Wisconsin hospital, and was later flown to Children's Hospital in St. Paul. Foehser said at one point Aiden went into cardiac arrest and didn't have a heartbeat.
Foeshner describes Aiden as his 'little buddy.' "If you would see him, you would see me. He loves the outdoors and making fires... he's just a rambunctious little boy who loves to make his mom and dad happy." He said Aiden had always been healthy, and has no underlying condition.
A spokesperson for Children's Hospital says as of Tuesday afternoon Aiden remains in critical but stable condition.
A family friend set up an account for anyone who would like to donate to help the Foeshner family with expenses. Donations can be made to the 'Aiden Foehser Benefit' at any Bremer Bank location.
Foeshner said he wants to thank everyone who has kept Aiden in their prayers and everyone who has come by to visit.
