(ABC 6 News) -- A check presentation at Austin High School Tuesday is helping the fight against breast cancer.
On January 17th at the high school basketball game, a fundraiser called Hoops for Hope- Shooting for a Cure was held. $2,500 was raised during the game.
Tuesday afternoon the check was given to The Hormel Institute with 100 percent of the proceeds going toward breast cancer research in Austin.
The game was an early kickoff for Austin's upcoming "Paint the Town Pink" citywide initiative which starts February 1st and goes through the 10th.
