nullST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) - The result of the 2012 election in Minnesota sunk in long ago. Now comes the sticker shock.

Campaign finance reports being made public Friday will find out how much money went into various races.

Candidates for state office and groups engaged in state-level campaigns last had to report their fundraising and spending a couple of weeks before the election.

At that checkpoint, the group leading opposition to a constitutional ban on gay marriage had already spent nearly $10 million. Minnesotans United for All Families was successful in defeating the proposed amendment. Minnesota for Marriage, which came out on the losing end, had spent just shy of $4 million by then.

The reports will also offer a peek at Gov. Mark Dayton's campaign as he heads into a 2014 re-election bid.
