(ABC 6 NEWS) -- Buster Meyer might have the coolest nickname ever.
"Energizer Bunny. My teammates call me that because I guess I just can keep going and going. I don't get tired," explains Meyer.
That's pretty apparent when you watch the junior point guard fly around the court.
"He's one of those guys that just never gets tired," says Byron head coach Kerry Linbo. "Buster can go forever, he's in great shape, he's a good ball handler, has great vision. He just does a lot of things well."
Buster's constant energy source, plus his ability to shoot the three ball has made him a crucial part of this Byron team.
"He's got a lot of weapons to use himself, and when he plays with his teammates, which I think he does all the time, he does a great job for us," said Linbo. "Fortunately we've won a lot of ball games so it makes team chemistry and togetherness fairly easy. Buster's definitely one of our leaders."
And between Meyer, Jack Nelson, and Brandon Schubert, this Byron team is a threat to everyone they play. It also makes them one step closer to that ultimate goal.
"A state championship. Let's hope, like every year, it has to be the goal every year," said Meyer.
