(AP) -- The sentencing of a Waterloo man convicted of second-degree murder has been continued until March.
The Waterloo-Cedar Falls Courier reports that 22-year-old James Farnsworth II was to be sentenced Feb. 26 in Cerro Gordo County District Court. But a scheduling conflict for his lawyer has pushed the sentencing to March 5.
Farnsworth was found guilty last month of second-degree murder in the slaying of Ian Decker. Prosecutors say Decker received a serious stab wound after a fight with Farnsworth in April. Decker was found lying on the ground and died later at Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa.
