(ABC 6 News) -- The Minnesota Department of Health has released last weeks flu numbers. 12 more influenza related deaths were confirmed compared to 9 the week before. 148 deaths have been confirmed this season.
From February 10th through the 16th, 59 more people were also hospitalized bringing the total to 2,784 hospitalizations this season.
9 more schools reported flu outbreaks, bringing the total number of schools to 467 this season.
Long term care facilities have also been hit hard this season with 5 more facilities reporting outbreaks bringing that total to 144.
As we've reported, the flu season has peaked but with more deaths this past week than the week before, the risk is still out there. It's still suggested that everyone get a flu shot.
