The husband of a missing St. Paul woman has been arrested, police say.
Jeffery Trevino, 37, is the husband of Kira Trevino, 30, who has been missing since Friday.
Police found her vehicle Monday in the parking lot of the Mall of America in Bloomington, where she worked at Delia's, a clothing store.
A store manager Tuesday declined to comment further on Kira Trevino and her disappearance.
Jeffery Trevino was arrested Tuesday afternoon by St. Paul police. During a search of a home on the 500 block of Iowa Avenue in east St. Paul, police found evidence "to believe a crime had been committed," according to a press release.
According to state records, Jeffery Trevino does not have a criminal record, except for minor traffic violations.
At approximately 5 a.m. Monday, mall security found Kira Trevino's vehicle and notified Bloomington police, said Bloomington police spokesman Vic Poyer. The vehicle was unoccupied.
It's unclear if any items were found in the car, Poyer said Monday. St. Paul police towed the vehicle and are investigating it. Bloomington police are helping with the investigation.
Friends say Kira Trevino went missing Friday. Her phone battery died and she hasn't attended work.
She is described as 5-foot, 4 inches tall; blonde hair, green eyes and weighs approximately 110 pounds.
Anyone with information about the case should call the St. Paul police at 651-291-1111 or 651-266-5700.
