Minnesota's 2nd Oldest Living Person Passes Away

(ABC 6 News) -- Minnesota's 2nd oldest resident was laid to rest today in Stewartville. She was 110.

Ruth Andreasen died Friday March 8th of natural causes at the Stewartville Care Center. Her funeral was this afternoon at the United Methodist Church in Stewartville and her burial followed at Woodlawn Cemetery.

Ruth was the 2nd oldest living person in Minnesota and was among the 50 oldest living U.S. citizens, at the time of her death. She was also one of the few remaining surviving spouses of a World War I veteran.

Ruth is survived by her daughter and two sons as well as 9 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren.
