(ABC 6 NEWS) -- It doesn’t feel or look like it, but the start of spring is the day after tomorrow. But if you were driving today, it probably felt like it was nowhere in sight.
Call it a bad case of the Monday’s.
"Last year with winter, we were really lucky we didn't have as many winter weather days as we had like today,” said Kristin Kammueller.
The last three Monday commutes have been slow and messy.
"They're slippery, very slippery,” said Shawn Mahon.
This Monday, high wind speeds and low visibility, causing many cars to leave the roadway.
"Not only could it be very slippery, but you're not going to be able to see the plows and other vehicles ahead of you, so you really need to slow down and pay attention,” said Kammueller.
For a short time Monday afternoon, traffic on Highway 52 was moving at a snail-like place after a jack-knifed semi caused lane closures between 2nd Street and Civic Center Drive.
"It's pretty to look at. Whitens everything up for the week,” said Elizabeth Baird.
Pretty yes, but each additional snowfall adds more time until Elizabeth Baird can return home.
"I live out in the country and I work early hours because of the ice, particularly, I rent a place in the winter and so I was hoping to get back home in the next week,” said Baird.
And while we’ve made it through them,
"It's Minnesota, we have to deal with it,” said Mahon.
All of these Monday snows, are only adding to spring fever.
"I'm looking forward to getting my motorcycle out,” said Mahon.
