(ABC 6 NEWS) -- The day after a crash involving the bus carrying the RCTC baseball team, there are no new significant updates.

St. Petersburg police tell ABC 6 News that as of Thursday morning, the 74-year-old female driver of the car involved in the crash remains in critical condition.  Officials are unsure if she will survive.  Her 48-year-old passenger was also seriously injured, but is expected to survive.

The driver of the Heartland Tour bus is a 33-year-old Rochester area man. ABC 6 News is choosing not to identify him, because he has not been criminally charged.

Police believe the driver ran a red light.  Cameras in the area captured the crash, and investigators are looking through additional footage.

Police say any traffic charges in the crash remain "pending" until the investigation is completed, which could take a few days.

The 33-year-old bus driver's police record shows he has been cited four times for speeding and once for not wearing a seatbelt. Officials with Hartland Tours, the company that operates the tour bus, declined to comment citing the on-going investigation.

The team was on a spring break trip and headed to a baseball tournament in Florida. They posted a comment on their Facebook page saying they are shaken up and praying for the people who were inside the car.
