(ABC 6 NEWS) -- An early Friday morning standoff ended with the arrest of a Rochester man.
According to the Rochester police department the incident started when officers were called Thursday to investigate a man who may be suicidal.
That man was Ramon Ruiz, 33 of Rochester. Officers were unable to locate Ruiz, but received more calls about his condition.
Then early Friday morning they received reports that the an adult female who had a no contact order against Ruiz may have been threatened by him.
Officers responded to a residence on the 500 block of 3rd St. NW where they believed the couple to be located. Officers discovered the Ruiz and the female were inside, but no one came to the door.
Because of Ruiz earlier threats including a weapon against himself and the female, officers set up a perimeter and called in the emergency response team as well as the crisis negotiation unit. The crisis unit was eventually able to convince Ruiz to come out peacefully.
He was arrested for felony violation of a restraining order. It is unsure if he will be charged with more.
The female showed no signs of any injuries and is working with police in their investigation.
