(ABC 6 NEWS)- The Rochester police department is investigating two incidents that broke out over the weekend and may have started at The Whiskey Bones Roadhouse in Rochester.
The first incident started early Saturday morning after police got a call from St. Marys Hospital about a victim with gunshot wounds. Police say the victim had been shot twice in the lower body.
They say the altercation most likely started during a bar fight at Whiskey Bones around 1:40 a.m. Both parties left the bar. The victim then went to an apartment.
Police say the shooting occurred outside an apartment building off Northern Hills Drive in the early morning hours. The victim says he was walking down the street when a male approached in a dark sweatshirt with his face covered up and fired several shots.
Police believe it was a targeted assault, but the victim's injuries are described as non-life threatening.
The second incident started in the early morning hours on Sunday, also at Whiskey Bones.
Police were called to the bar on reports of a fight involving 30 people or more. Upon arrival they discovered several individuals fleeing the bar in vehicles.
Police located several victims with cuts on their arms and necks. Up to four people had to be taken to St. Marys for stitches.
Police say there were several fights throughout the night and that the cuts are believed to have come from broken beer bottles.
No one is in custody and there are no suspects at this time.
However, the incidents have attracted the attention of at least one Rochester City Council member. Last night Michael Wojcik tweeted this comment... “I am interested in seeing the details of a fight at #whiskeybones. I expect #rochcc will discuss very soon... #rochmn”.
