(ABC 6 News) - A 15-year-old high school student is facing a felony charge tonight after he allegedly pulled a knife on another student at school. Police say the entire incident happened because of a pair of squeaky shoes.
Nobody was hurt, but police are still taking this very seriously telling us the 15-year-old boy will be charged with second degree felony assault. According to the Albert Lea Police, the 15-year-old was in the breakfast line Wednesday morning at the high school, when he became annoyed with a 17-year-old who was making squeaking noises with his sneakers. That's when the 15-year-old allegedly flashed a knife.
ABC 6 News made calls to the Albert Lea School District trying to figure out what it plans to do with the student and to learn more about the district's safety procedures, but our calls were not returned.
