(ABC 6 NEWS) -- Many people in Rochester know Ed Pompeian. He's probably best-known for founding the Gift of Life Transplant House, but come Saturday night, he'll be known for something else.
Ed is the winner of the 2013 Aspiring Conductor contest for the Rochester Symphony Orchestra and Chorale. He'll take center stage for the RSOC's finale concert, Homeland. Wednesday night was one of his final rehearsals. He told us he doesn't have a musical background, so he does have some butterflies.
Ed says, "Sure I'm nervous. I've never done it before. But I'm sure I'll get through it. Others have before me."
If you'd like to see Ed in action and check out the RSOC's finale concert tickets are still available. The show starts at 7:30 Saturday night at Mayo Civic Center.
