(ABC 6 NEWS) -- We are tracking major developments in the case of a north Iowa teen accused of shooting and killing his mother.
A judge has ruled most of the statements the then 13-year-old Noah crooks made to police, cannot be used in court.
Investigators received verbal permission from Noah's father, but nothing in writing. Because of that, and a very strict Iowa code, the judge says the testimony is off limits.
However, a 911 call Noah made reporting his mother's death, will be allowed. His trial is set for April 30th.
