ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) - A detention hearing has been postponed for a man accused in what the FBI is calling a thwarted terror plot in western Minnesota.
An attorney for 24-year-old Buford Rogers asked Wednesday that the detention hearing be postponed so he can investigate the accusations against this client.
Rogers is charged with one count of illegally possessing a firearm. He was arrested Friday after authorities found a cache of explosives and weapons in a mobile home in Montevideo.
Defense attorney Andrew Mohring says the government has released a lot of misinformation to the media.
The prosecution did not object to delaying the hearing.
Rogers has a prior felony burglary conviction so is not allowed to have a gun.
His father has said his son is not a terrorist.
