MASON CITY, Iowa (AP) - Officials say a Dubuque-based call center plans to begin operations in Mason City and hopes to create 135 jobs over the next five years.
The Globe Gazette reports WS Live LLC will begin operation in Mason City, if the City Council approves economic incentives at a Tuesday meeting.
The company hopes to open a center this summer and employ about 30 people in the first year. Brent Willett, who heads the North Iowa Corridor Economic Development Corp., says the jobs will pay about $9.50 an hour, with supervisory positions paying higher.
The company says it provides customer sales and support services to a variety of clients.
The company will work out of the building vacated by I.C. System which closed in December.
