(ABC 6 News) - Rochester police have arrested two people they believe are connected to two recent gas station/convenience store robberies in which the robber wore a red bandanna to cover his face.

Kevon Johnson and Alycia Courson were arrested Tuesday afternoon at a southeast Rochester home after police executed a search warrant.

Police say Johnson and Courson are connected to the robberies at the Holiday Gas Station off 2nd Street SW and the Greenway Co-op off of 3rd Avenue SE.

Surveillance video from both gas stations was used in the investigation. Police say while Johnson was inside robbing the stores Courson was waiting in the car.

Police say they found a replica handgun and clothing consistent with the surveillance video.

According to police Johnson and Courson have admitted to the crimes and say they did so because they needed money for rent and bills.

Both are facing felony robbery charges.
