An arranged plea agreement in a meth dealing case is out the window now after an Austin man decided he would not implicate his wife in the crime.
The Mankato Free Press reports that Reynaldo Rivera declined to testify against his wife, Josefina Villa in charges resulting from a January drug sting.
According to the report, Rivera agreed to a plea deal in May.
However, that deal was yanked off the table by Blue Earth County prosecutors when Rivera said Villa new nothing about the meth involved in the sting.
Rivera and Villa were arrested January 8th of this year while allegedly transporting a half pound of meth from Austin to Mankato in a buy arranged by the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension.
