(KSTP) - The family of a missing Minnesota native says her remains have been found near a cabin in Colorado, according to our ABC affiliate 7NEWS.

According to Wheat Ridge Police, the human remains were found in Park County around 7 p.m. Thursday.

Detectives were notified of the discovery Monday. They are working with Park County officials to determine if this incident and the disappearance of missing Wheat Ridge resident Leann "Annie" Meyer are connected. Meyer is from St. Peter, MN and went missing in Colorado back in February.

Police say they wanted to question Meyer's roommate but she has refused and obtained a lawyer.

Authorities are expected to release more details today.
