A riverfront festival took place Friday night at a future park in northeast Minneapolis.
The "no name" park, is one of the first sites planned for development under the RiverFirst Initiative. The Minneapolis Riverfront Partnership says the 10-acre site along the Mississippi River and Plymouth Avenue Bridge was a lumber yard. The Minneapolis Park Board bought the land a few years ago and will turn it into park in about five years.
The group is asking the public to help name the park.
