(ABC 6 NEWS) -- A brief but potent storm moved through Olmsted county early Thursday morning.

Take a look at the photo gallery below, some of the photos we received from inside the Mayo Clinic Charlton building.
You can see standing water knee high, even water pouring down the elevator shafts.
Just leaving a big mess to be cleaned up.
Mayo Clinic sent us an update this afternoon on cleanup progress:

Earlier this morning, heavy rains caused some flooding in the subway level and lobby level of Mayo Clinic's Charlton Building. Patients scheduled for morning laboratory tests at the Charlton Building or appointments at Charlton Subway Desk R were redirected and some appointments were rescheduled.

At this point, most of the water has been removed, but subway access is expected to remain limited until early Friday morning. Ongoing clean-up is expected for the next one-to-two weeks with minimal disruption to patients. We encourage patients and staff to avoid affected areas until clean-up work is complete.

We're told in some places in and around Rochester, at least eight vehicles were stalled in water up to their headlights.
