Saturday at the "Great Minnesota Get-Together," one Minnesota couple got together for good. Susan Peterson and Steven Haugesag of Bloomington got hitched at the very place they met three years ago.
Out of all the faces in the crowd at the Minnesota State Fair, three years ago, Susan Peterson and Steven Haugesag noticed each other while on a scavenger hunt.
They got along great, but bonded over one thing in particular, their love of the state fair. That infatuation with the state fair became a part of their relationship, and their wedding.
The wedding had all the usual touches: the rings, the kiss, even wedding cake on a stick.
The legacy of Sue and Steve's wedding will last long past death parts them, the couple donated to the Minnesota State Fair Foundation and will have a commemorative brick always on display on the fairgrounds.
In lieu of a reception the couple invited all their guests to join them on a scavenger hunt around the state fairgrounds, in honor of their first meeting.
