(ABC 6 News) - A Rochester man is in custody after he allegedly used a gun to rob several people at two different locations.

Rochester police say Victor Fortner was arrested in a field, behind a tile shop, early Saturday morning.

Police were called after a man, sitting outside of Boomers Lounge, claimed Fortner robbed him and gun point and then demanded that he drive him to the hospital.

The victim says Fortner then changed his mind and got out of the car near the 1900 block of Valleyhigh Drive. Police soon received another call reporting another armed robbery.

A female victim said Fortner approached her in her garage and held her at gun point before stealing her purse.

Through the help of a witness and the K-9 unit, police were able to track Fortner to the field behind the tile shop.  Officers ordered Fortner to come out and eventually sent in the K-9 unit.

Fortner suffered puncture wounds from the dog before being arrested. Officers say they recovered the female victim’s purse along with a BB gun.

Fortner is in custody facing felony aggravated robbery charges.
