After 40 years in the auto parts business, Tom Hovland is selling his stores.
Hovland Enterprise NAPA Auto Parts stores are located in 15 cities in Iowa, Minnesota and Wisconsin, including the NAPA outlets in Austin, Albert Lea, Mason City and Clear Lake.
Hovland tells ABC 6 News that the sale to Motor Parts and Equipment Company of Rockford, Illinois is expected to be finalized on September 1.
Hovland started his business in 1973 fixing cars in a 2 stall garage.
Currently his stores employ 160 people.
All those stores will be closed this weekend for inventory prior to the sale.
