(ABC 6 News) - Austin police are investigating whether a 13-year-old boy might be responsible for recent pellet gun shootings.
Officers took a report of a person with a gun near Sumner Elementary School in northwest Austin around 7:15 Wednesday night.
They found the 13-year-old with a pellet gun tucked into his pants, but there was no evidence that shots were fired near the school.
Even so, the case has been turned over to a detective, who will investigate whether the boy was responsible for shooting at passing cars several blocks from the school earlier this month.
No one was injured.
