A suspect in a double-murder in Granite Falls has been taken into police custody in Yellow Medicine County in western Minnesota.
Family members brought Andrew Dikken to the Renville County Sheriff's Office around 3 p.m. Tuesday.
Dikken has been on the run since the beginning of the month.
Investigators say Dikken shot 26-year-old Kara Monson of Granite Falls and 28-year-old Christopher Panitzke of Redwood Falls on Monday, Sept. 2. The shooting happened at a Granite Falls home.
Monson was found dead at the scene of the shooting. Panitzke was treated for multiple gunshot wounds at Hennepin County Medical Center and later died.
Officials say Dikken is Monson's ex-boyfriend.
According to the Department of Public Safety, Dikken's family members have been cooperating with the investigation for the past several weeks.
At this point, additional details have not been released.
