(ABC 6 News) - A Rochester man had to be taken to the hospital after a hit and run accident Monday night.

Rochester Police say Kristina Holtorf was arrested after a witness saw her hit the man and drive away.

Police say the incident happened near the 100 block of 16th Avenue S.W just after 7pm. The  witness reported that Holtorf was leaving McDonald’s through the alley and struck Richard Zempel, who was walking on the sidewalk. The witness said Zempel went up over Holtorf’s windshield before she drove off.

Another witness followed Holtorf to her home before calling police. Police say Holtorf was possibly intoxicated when they arrived at her home. They say they also found McDonald’s wrappers in her car.

She was arrested on several charges, including criminal vehicular operation causing injury and driving without a license. Additional charges are pending the results of a blood test.

Zempel was taken to the hospital with a leg injury and neck pain.
