(ABC 6 NEWS) -- It's a break from the traditional school day for hundreds of area kids, who earned a trip to 'We Day'.

It's an event that students performed service projects to be a part of.  You can't buy tickets, because We Day is invite only.

Students from Rochester to Grand Meadow, to Lyle are up at the Xcel Energy Center to see some of the biggest acts, including Demi Lovato and the Jonas Brothers.

Governor Mark Dayton, Education Commissioner Brenda Casselius and Martin Luther King III were among the speakers.
