Friends and family remembered a 13-year-old hit and killed while riding his bike Thursday in Isanti County. There was a gathering at a Cambridge church Saturday to remember Colin Larson.

He was hit around 3 p.m. at the east intersection of Hillary Circle and 329th Avenue as he was heading to a neighbor’s home. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officials say the driver was a 16-year-old from Cambridge who is cooperating with the investigation. No charges have been filed so far.
The Minnesota State Patrol is assisting Isanti County deputies with the investigation.

A friend of the victim's family, Melissa Carle, spoke for them. "Their faith is what's going to get them through and those that are together," Calre said.

Colin is a triplet, two boys and girl.
Carle describes Colin as full of life, "He was a kid. He was just an every day fun loving kid."

According to the family's pastor, Colin's funeral will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 22, at the church with a gathering from 1-4 p.m.

A Colin Larson Memorial Fund has been established at Minnco Credit Union, 235 West First Ave., in Cambridge.
