New information is revealed in a federal civil lawsuit filed by one of the sex abuse victims against Shattuck-St. Mary's School in Faribault.

The lawsuit, filed on Oct. 4, alleges Lynn Seibel conducted sessions of a sexual nature while working as a teacher and was live-in dorm staff member at the Shattuck campus. The victim attended the school between the ages of 14 and 18.

This is the second such lawsuit filed by a victim of Seibel's against the school.

Seibel was sentenced to 52 months in prison after pleading guilty to sexually abusing six male students.

Shattuck-St. Mary’s School released the following statement:

"For a second time, Mr. Anderson has brought forward a lawsuit that makes accusations about our school without knowing, or choosing to ignore, important material facts. Its allegations of negligence are unfounded and misdirected and we're confident of our ability to demonstrate those truths. Even so, at the heart of this matter is an individual who asserts he was abused by Mr. Seibel. As such, the plaintiff remains a member of our community and will continue to receive our respect and empathy."
