(ABC 6 News) - Governor Mark Dayton is scheduled to undergo a procedure at Mayo Clinic in Rochester on Wednesday.
The Governor's Deputy Chief of Staff, Bob Hume, says the procedure is called a "Platelet Rich Plasma Injection" and is designed to promote healing of the torn muscle in his left hip area.
Hume says it will be conducted under local anesthesia and should take about an hour. The Governor is expected to return to his home afterwards. The Governor is also expected to conduct state business from home for two weeks, due to limited mobility.
