(ABC 6 NEWS) -- You see them all over town... jack-o-lanterns, black cats, skeletons and other Halloween decorations.
But there’s one house in northwest Austin that has some neighbors wondering if the decorations are too much.
"I love getting people's attention, scaring them," Levi Korfhage told us, standing in the front yard of his home on 4th street northwest.
He tells us he’s been decorating for Halloween since he was 12-years-old.
"There are houses that gave me the memories when i was a kid of scaring me, and they really worked hard to make it fun for kids."
And this year, he’s gone all out – an oven for burning simulated bodies, a guillotine and “Back behind us we have some lovely bodies hanging from the tree."
But not everyone likes it.
"A really busy street, I don't think we need to have body parts hanging in the tree," Laura Tjomsland told us. She works just down the street from Levi Korfhage's house.
"I don't think i would take my grandchildren there."
“When they're clearly freaked out, we back off," Levi Korfhage said as he and his friends prepared to get into costume to hand out treats on Halloween night.
“Sometimes you can exaggerate the fun. kids are used the playing in costumes and having a good time, but they don't need the blood and gore," Laura Tjomsland said.
“It might be too much for some neighbors. We get a lot of positive feedback," Levi Korfhage said.
“I just don't think kids need to be exposed to that much grossness," Laura Tjomsland countered.
“If it were any other time of year, I'd say it's too much. But it's just the week of Halloween," Levi Korfhage said. “If we get the heart going, that's exactly what we do it for."
