(ABC 6 NEWS) -- Mower County authorities are asking for the public’s help in finding a county jail inmate who failed to return to jail after a weekend furlough to attend his mother’s funeral.

67-year-old Loren Bellrichard was arrested in September and charged with three felony counts of stalking.

He was accused of leaving unwanted gifts, including a bicycle and softball equipment, for a 16-year-old girl.

Bellrichard pleaded “not guilty” to the charges and was released from jail after posting bond.

But his bond was revoked when he allegedly violated the terms of his release by having contact with the original victim.

Mower County Sheriff Terese Amazi said Bellrichard was granted a furlough from jail to attend his mother’s wake and funeral.

He was released from jail on Friday, and was told to report back to jail by six o’clock Saturday evening.

But Amazi said Bellrichard hasn’t been seen since.

A warrant for his arrest is expected today, and Amazi says Bellrichard will face additional charges for failing to return to jail.

Amazi also said anyone aiding Bellrichard will face charges.

Bellrichard has a home just outside of Austin, and is known to travel on foot or by bicycle.

Anyone with information concerning Loren Bellricard’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Mower County Sheriff’s Department.
