(ABC 6 News) - Two people are facing possible drug charges after police say they found meth, marijuana and syringes in their vehicle.

Rochester Police arrested Sharon Weaver and Ian Cowden near the drop off area in front of the Kahler Hotel Wednesday night.

An officer was writing a parking ticket just after 5 o’clock, when he says he noticed Weaver driving by. The officer knew that Weaver had a warrant out for her arrest and approached the vehicle. Police say he saw a bag of marijuana sitting in plain sight.

The officer asked Cowden, who was sitting in the back seat, to step out of the vehicle. He says Cowden resisted. Police say they found a bag of meth and a syringe on him once he was searched.

They also say they found another 7½ grams of meth and several hundred dollars in cash inside the vehicle.

Both suspects are facing possible 2nd and 3rd degree possession charges. Cowden is also facing possible charges for obstruction of justice.
