Police Release More Information on Rochester Bank Robbery

(ABC 6 News) - Police say the robbery at a Rochester Wells Fargo bank Wednesday afternoon was so quick other workers and customers didn’t know it was going on until the suspect left the building.

It happened around 4:40pm at the Wells Fargo on 37th Street Northwest. The suspect entered the bank and walked up to a teller. He then set down a bag, pulled out a gun and demanded money. The teller quickly handed over an undisclosed amount of money and the suspect left.

Police say there was at least one other customer in the bank at the time of the robbery and 3 to 4 other workers. They're asking the public to come forward if they have any information that may help with the investigation.

Authorities say the man, who is white or mixed race, is 6 feet tall, 30 or younger, and was wearing a white jacket, a Chicago Bulls hat, glasses and finger gloves. He may have left the area in a sedan type vehicle.

The FBI is involved and they are using surveillance video from the bank and surrounding businesses to assist with the investigation.
