Rochester Police: 15 Establishments Caught Selling Alcohol to Underage Buyers

(ABC 6 News) - The Rochester Police Department says 15 well known grocery stores, liquor stories, bars, restaurants and a movie theater were caught selling alcohol to underage buyers.

The list includes, Hy-Vee North (37th Street), Wild Bill's Sports Saloon, Hy-Vee Crossroads, Andy's Liquor (Wellner Drive), Nupa North, John Hardy's (Highway 52), Sam's Club Liquor, Chateau Theater, Wildwood Sports Bar, Osaka, Mr. Pizza North, Valentino's, Jabbers, Ichi Tokyo and ZZest.

Ironically, the police sent out a warning letter to all the establishments letting them know that compliance checks were coming.

In all, 142 locations were checked.

Police say charges related to the compliance checks are pending and that future checks will be conducted.
